It is my pleasure to announce to you that I am running for the California 
State Assembly in 2012.
As the Vice Mayor of the City of Lathrop, I understand the need of Local Communities especially in this time of Economic meltdown, budget cuts, deteriorating education, escalating health care costs and above all, this massive unemployment.
I am running for the State Assembly because I want to represent the poor, the down trodden, the underdog, the veterans, the minorities, the legal immigrants, the citizens, the women and children that have no voice here in San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties. The Economic crisis in California is affecting each and everyone of us. The deteriorating Educational System in our State is making our children less competitive in the job market today and the senior citizens can no longer afford to live on their pensions due to the sky rocketing cost of health care.
We need a radical change in Sacramento. We need a representative with new innovative ideas that can get us out of this rut and out of this mess.
I am running for the State Assembly because California needs New Blood. The 8th largest Economy in the world is being mis-managed. There is no shortage of talent and resources in our State today. The question is how do we allocate these talents and resources properly? Pouring more dollars into the problem is not always a sure way to solve the problem. Has anybody ever thought about innovation and efficiency? We need to live within our means.
There is a correlation between Education and Employment and with my degree in Economics, which I received from San Jose State University, I intend to work on both issues simultaneously. I can also help balance California's budget. California demands a highly educated workforce in order to compete in the world market today. If California wants to have a World Class Economy, then it must improve its Educational System.
These are just but a few of my innovative ideas.
As a United States Navy Vietnam-era Veteran, I have the courage, integrity and leadership to bring with me to Sacramento. I will do my best to find ways and means to improve our educational system but above all, I will strive to look for JOBS, JOBS, and JOBS.
